DECEMBER TRENDS
A MESSAGE FROM PASTOR STEVE
As we begin another Church year –we find ourselves in a waiting period called Advent. We celebrate this season every year but this year is sooo different than all the others. This year waiting has been the theme since March. Waiting on a vaccine, Waiting for things to get back to normal, waiting for a new president, waiting for the ability to go out when and where we want too. We as Humans don’t like waiting, but as Christians we should be good at it. Christ has called us to wait for him, and he has taught us that waiting does not mean that we do nothing, but rather we wait for his comming by actively sharing our faith, by making a difference in our daily lives. This advent season we are called to share the gifts of hope, faith, Joy, and Peace. How we chose to share them is up to us, but just because we are not meeting together for worship we still have the responsibility to grow in our faith and this advent season is a new opportunity to grow together. I pray that you take time this season to try something new, do a daily devotional, set some quiet time to spend in prayer, read a religious book, share your faith in new way with a new person. (socially distancing of course). Advent is a great time to try something new and experience Christ and his love in a new way. We as Christ followers need to step out in faith and show the world that God is bigger than any virus, political unrest or any shut down. God cant be put down, he will overcome through the gift of his love. My prayer is that you may have a blessed and faith filled Advent season. O come, O come Emmanuel !!!
